Progressive Concepts in Spa

Over here at Core Essence we are always inspired by those doing something unique and different in the spa world.  As much as we love a classic spa concept, we love to see the rule breakers and the risk takers piloting new and progressive offerings.  In this post, we recap some of our favourite modern spa concepts.

Chillhouse

With a hashtag like #chillatyourwill and a majorly 'instagrammable' space, Chillhouse in NYC's Lower East Side neighbourhood is touted as a "Modern path to total rejuvenation".  Along with nail services, Chillhouse also has a wellness cafe featuring your traditional coffees as well as more unique beverages laced with beets and tumeric.  They also offer simple massage services and more intricate body treatments to please every body and every budget.  Visit their website and instagram to learn more.

The Now Massage Boutique

The Now massage boutique in L.A is an amazing example of taking a simple idea and turning it into something great. With a deep belief in the transformative power of touch, the team is committed to making massage accessible — pricing starts at just $35 for a 25 minute service. Their simple and beautiful aesthetic is designed with a community environment in mind. We absolutely love this simple offering and fresh approach. Visit their website and instagram to learn more.

Calistoga Motor Lodge & Spa

We are getting major retro spa vibes from the Calistoga Motor Lodge & Spa, designed by the always innovative AvroKO.  The MoonAcre Spa is meant to evoke feelings at a cross between a 'modern quack apothecary and municipal pool from a fictitious Wes Anderson film'. We love this out of the box concept and design, sure to be a unique experience! Click here for an in-depth look from Dezeen.
